Randy Travis New Album & Heath Update: ‘Influence Vol 2’ Album Release After Can’t Sing Rumors

HEALTH UPDATE: Randy Travis is releasing a new record. The upcoming cover album, The Influence Vol 2: The Man I am, is a followup to his October 2013 release. The announcement comes shortly after the reports that the legendary singer may never sing again.

Recently TMZ is reported that the Travis may never sing again quoting an unnamed rep for Travis, who said:

“Although he can't speak now, the therapist said it wouldn't be out of the question for him to return to the stage ... possibly in 3 years.”

TMZ also quotes an anonymous source, adding: “The singer can't form a sentence and it's unclear if he is even lucid enough to follow a conversation.”

It has now been confirmed that Travis will release his second cover record, The Influence Vol. 2. Travis spoke about the record via a press release:

“We had such a great time putting together Influence Vol. 1, but there were still so many musical heroes of yesteryear that I learned from and wanted to honor. We had no choice but to release a second volume. The ‘Influence’ that the older, great ones had on me, and the ‘Influence’ that I may, somehow, have on the ones that come along after me, is God’s way of allowing us to pay it forward. It is my prayer answered--and, His will done--it is what makes me, “the man I am.”

The official track listing for the new record, includes:

1. I’m Moving On
2. Set ‘Em Up Joe
3. Are The Good Times Really Over?
4. Nearly Lose Your Mind
5. There I’ve Said It Again
6. That’s The Way Love Goes
7. Sunday Morning Coming Down
8. Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me
9. Mind Your Own Business
10. Only Daddy
11. For The Good Times
12. California Blues
13. Tonight I’m Playing Possum (Solo Version)

We are looking forward to the new record, and wish Randy Travis a full recovery.
