It would have been hard to guess a few years ago when he was showing off his promise ring with the rest of his Jonas Brothers band members, but Nick Cannon has reportedly turned into one of the gay community's most popular artist. According to the latest gossip news updates, Nick, who is currently dating former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, set out with the goal of winning over as many gay fans as possible while promoting his new album. In related news, Joe Jonas has sparked rumors that he and ex-girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler are dating again, despite their very public breakup last year.
When Nick Jonas' band was at the height of its fame their super-conservative, Christian image hardly seemed to jibe with the gay friendly pop star the he's become today, and believe it or not, that didn't happen by accident.
One source claiming to be close to Jonas explains in the May 4, issue of OK! Magazine that the singer/actor made a point of embracing the gay community the first chance he got as a solo artist:
"Nick has always supported LGBT rights and was excited for to really embrace his gay fans.
"Nick is making a huge effort to do things that will make gay fans excited about his career -- and it's paying off!"
While Nick seems to be having no problem moving on with his life after leaving the boy band he formed with his older brothers all those years ago, it's hard to tell if Joe Jonas is moving on at all.
Other than a supposedly staring in his own Uber commercial, Joe has done little of note since leaving the band and now it seems that his personal life may be just as stagnant.
Although they broke up last year, Hollywood Life is reporting that Joe and his longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler looked to be very much together while partying in LA the other night:
"Less than a year after the two called it quits, they reunited at a party in Los Angeles on Sunday night, April 7, where they were caught sharing a long, tight hug."
Now that Nick has got stuff together he needs to get his brother a production credit on his next project and introduce him to a couple dozen of Olivia's supermodel besties before it's too late.
