Former Donald Trump Celebrity Apprentice contestant Nick Jonas recently explained the real reason why he and brothers, Joe and Nick, really broke up their band in 2013. The 27-year-old pop star revealed that things had gotten to a point in the band where tensions were starting to threaten their family dynamic. According to the latest gossip news updates, Nick Jonas is happier than ever and has some not-so-secret plans to pop the question to girlfriend, Olivia Culpo. Word has it that if everything goes as right, Nick will get engaged to the onetime Miss Universe on Valentine's Day.
While some people might be more than just a little embittered by their brothers' decision to split up one of the most successful band in teen history, Kevin Jonas, seems completely at peace with the breakup of the Jonas Brothers.
During a post Celebrity Apprentice interview with the Huffington Post, Kevin explained that the boys dissolved the band in 2013 once tensions in the group finally became too much to handle:
"We were really lucky. Being a band that was able to tour around the world, travel make music that we loved -- was our music -- and then be received well, I think it was great.
"Being able to play shows and travel together was great, but then once at the end there, the friction was too much and we just really needed to break away and kind of do our own things for some time."
Kevin went on to explain that he feels his relationship with his brothers is actually better now that they all aren't de facto business partners:
"I think that's why we're close now, because we're not in the band.
"We chose to be a family, not a band."
Kevin became a father since the boys called it quits, and word has it now it's Nick Jonas' turn to take a big step in his personal life.
A source claiming to have inside information insists in the February 2, issue of Star Magazine, that Nick Jonas is planning to pop the big question to girlfriend Olivia Culpo Valentine's Day, and the whole Jonas clan already knows all about it:
"The entire Jonas family is in on the big secret.
"Everyone adores Olivia and thinks they are perfect for each other."
Although, most 22-year-old singer/actors promoting their first solo record might want to play the field a little bit, the informant swears that Nick Jonas just isn't a play the field type of guy:
"Nick's never been the player type.
"He values his religious beliefs and he knows he's ready to settle down."
Alright...but you grope yourself in an underwear ad, you don't get to talk about your religious beliefs anymore.
