‘X-Men’ Iceman Outed As Gay: Following Shawn Ashmore Supports Homosexual Bobby Drake on Twitter [UPDATE]

It is official. All-New X-Men #40 confirms the long believed fan rumor, that Bobby Drake, A.K.A. The Iceman is gay. Following star Shawn Ashmore, who portrayed Iceman in four X-Men films, (X-Men 1, Z-Men 2, X-Men 3: Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past), has come out in support of the fictitious character on Twitter.

This week, photos from All-New X-Men #40 leaked on Tumblr, revealing Iceman Bobby Drake is gay. The images show a young Bobby Drake and a young Jean Grey discussing Bobby’s sexuality.

Iceman actor Shawn Ashmore has come out in support of the comic book character on Twitter, posting:

“Congrats Bobby! :)”
