After years of unsuccessfully searching for his perfect Mrs. Right it seems that Gerard Butler is dead set on getting engaged to new girlfriend, Morgan Brown. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 300 star is all set to tie the knot and settle down with the well-known Malibu interior designer. Despite supporting Scottish nationalism last year, Gerry recently explained that he is pretty tired of "boring" Scots incessantly putting down England. Butler recently reminded his fans, that without the opportunity to develop his career down south, the world might have never known the name, Gerard Butler.
While Gerard Butler has not made his rumored engagement to his girlfriend, Morgan Brown, 100 percent official just yet, word has it that the interior designer has been seen wearing a huge diamond ring on her left hand since the beginning of March.
A source close to the couple told Star Magazine, that Gerry knew right from the start that there was something special about Brown (via CelebDirtyLaundry):
"Gerry is crazy about Morgan.
"He knew from the beginning that she was different from his past girlfriends."
Gerry might be head-over-heals for his secret fiancé, but the A-list actor is a little less sold on all his fellow countrymen constantly slagging off England out of envy.
In a recent interview with the Scottish Daily Reporter, Butler admitted that, like it or not, there is no way he would be where he is today without first having paid his dues south of the border (via KPopStarz):
"I'm so bored with Scottish people there saying, 'I hate England'."
"My success came from working in England, it's where everything started for me.
"I'll get sh-t for saying this probably but I'm a fan.
"I've lived in London for many years and have always enjoyed watching the football team."
And now Gerard's probably going to marry a California girl...how is his mama ever going to forgive him?
