Arizona Police Defend Cop Crashing Car Into Armed Man Video After Shooting Videos Shock Nation [WATCH]

Videos of police brutality are everywhere these days, including the tragic and horrific videos of cops shooting unarmed men. Now a new video, from earlier this year, is emerging, showing a cop using his car to slam into an armed suspect. Now a spokesperson from the Marana Police Department is opening up about the incident, they say may have actually saved the suspect's life.

Earlier this year an Arizona man, Mario Miranda Valencia, allegedly went on quite the crime spree, including stealing a gun from a local Wal-Mart, and firing it the air while walking down the street. After reportedly aiming the gun at his own head, an officer ran his car into Valencia at a reported 40 miles per hour.

Check out the shocking dash cam video to see for yourself. Warning it is violent.

A spokesperson for the Marana Police Department, Sergeant Chris Warren recently released a statement to the press about the incident (via Reuters):

"It's definitely not standard procedure, but the officer feared that the suspect was going to do some damage. It very well could have been a mass casualty kind of thing."

Do you think the officer did the right thing? What other measures should he have taken first? Do you still trust the police to protect and serve? Let us know your thoughts on the video and the other ones going around, in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
