After his daughter was forced to call the police last week to get an escort from her acupuncture appointment following an alleged stalker threatening Gwen Stefani in several confrontational texts, Dennis Stefani -- not her husband Gavin Rossdale -- finally did something about it. According to the latest gossip news updates, the No Doubt dad got a restraining order to keep creepy Richard Portnoy as far away from his daughter and her family as legally possible. In a related story, Stefain's fellow Voice coach, Adam Levine, clearly prefers Gwen to surly TV show replacement, Christina Aguilera. Levine's Maroon 5 band members claim that their frontman still talks about the Instagram bikini model non-stop.
Last week things came to a head in Gwen Stefani's stalker situation, when the No Doubt singer became so afraid while running errands with her children in Korea Town that she had to call the police for assistance.
Apparently, Dennis Stefani, who was also approached by the supposed stalker at his own home, has had enough reports E! News and finally turned to court for some help protecting his daughter:
"Stefani states that Richard Portnoy appeared at his residence on March 18 and insisted on 'discussing his prior efforts and his need to make contact with other protected parties as he tried to do on March 16.'
"The temporary restraining order protects Dennis, along with his wife Patricia, daughter Gwen, son-in-law Gavin Rossdale and grandchildren Kingston, 8, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 1, and will remain in effect until their court hearing on April 9."
If anything were to ever happen to Gwen Stefani or her children, Voice cast member, Adam Levine would be absolutely destroyed.
Maroon 5's guitarist James Valentine told the Oakland Press that not only was Adam completely enamored with Stefani, the whole band also fell in love with their ska idol when she stopped by for recording session on their last album (via Inquisitr):
"Adam wouldn't shut up about how cool she is as a person.
"A lot of times when you meet your idols, it's a letdown, but it's the opposite case with Gwen."
According to Valentine, Stefani and the boys from No Doubt have actually been an inspiration for Maroon 5 since wat back in the day when the band was still called Kara's Flowers:
"People probably don't realize that for the guys in the band, No Doubt was a really important band in that they worked their way up from the same clubs here in southern California that Kara's Flowers played up from, so they used to go see No Doubt in the '90s and they were always role models for what could happen."
You hear that, Gavin Rossdale? If you let anything happen to Gwen you will have to answer to the boys from Maroon 5 in addition to her dad, Dennis.
