Once again Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are on the verge of divorce in the tabloids due to their inability to agree on starting a family. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Scandal starlet is upset her TV talk show host wife won't agree to their having a baby. Whatever Ellen and Portia ultimately decide, they both agree that Dolce and Gabbanna's recent comments the homosexuals shouldn't adopt "synthetic children" were wrongheaded and ignorant.
Although they have both made public statements about not ever wanting to have children, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are said to be at odds once again over future pregnancy plans.
A source close to the couple revealed in the April 6, issue of In Touch that despite their public denials in the press, Ellen was telling Portia something very different when they were all alone:
"They used to discuss the possibility of kids often, either Portia carrying the baby or adopting.
"Ellen may be saying she never wanted kids, but her wife Portia, certainly did.
"Portia was heartbroken when Ellen came clean...her dreams were shattered."
Even if they don't see eye-to-eye on the future of their family, both Ellen and Portia stand side-by-side in their feelings regarding Italian fashion designer Dolce and Gabbana's recent remarks about gays having babies to be unnatural.
When asked about the current D&G boycott by E! News, Ellen explained she was definitely throwing her old clothes out but felt it didn't warrant a comment:
""It's not even worth commenting on because they're, you know, ignorant."
Portia also weighed in on the matter -- questioning what on earth would possess two homosexual fashion designers to come out against gay rights:
"The only thing you can say is that, you know, we're all entitled to free speech.
"However, I just don't understand who they are. I don't understand why they would want to say that."
For his part, Stefano Gabbana, tried to clear the air while speaking to CNN in slightly broken English, whilst still defending his and Domenico Dolce's right to speak their private opinions publicly (via NY Post):
"We love gay couple. We are gay...We love gay adoption.
"We love everything.
"It's just an express of my private point of view."
At least Ellen and Portia can bond over their right to adopt all the children they like...even if they never do.
