Nick Lachey Defends KUWTK after Newlywed Jessica Simpson Weight Loss Leads to Drunk Interviews? [GOSSIP NEWS]

Nick Lachey may been able to reach stardom by virtue of his ability to harmonize whilst dancing, but the 98 Degrees boy bander doesn't think any less of stars like Kim Kardashian who became famous by way of acting ridiculously on reality shows like Keeping Up with the Kardashians. According to the former Newlyweds star, he isn't in any position to judge Kanye West's wife. In a related story, Jessica Simpson, who finally married her longtime fiancé, Eric Johnson, last year, has people talking after giving several strange interviews in recent weeks. Some folks are suggesting that Simpson just doesn't know how to hold her liquor, since her recent pre-wedding weight loss had drastically altered her alcohol tolerance.

While there is no shortage of stars in Hollywood who turn up their nose at the way Kim Kardashian's reality television clan have made their name and fortune, VH1 Morning Buzz host, Nick Lackey, doesn't see anything wrong with it.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Lachey explained as far as he understood it Kardashian and celebrities like her were just giving the public what they wanted:

"Well, look I think if there's an opportunity for them to have the kind of career that they've had then they should go for it. Who am I to criticize how people make a living?

"And there seems to be an insatiable appetite for that so they're simply filling a need it seems."

Although Nick clearly has no problem playing it cool in front of the camera's, his ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, seemed absolutely out of sorts during her recent chats with the Today show and Extra TV.

One source close to Jessica claims in the April 6, issue of Star Magazine that all the pressure to excel has obviously started to takehave an affect on the fashion mogul:

"She's trying to keep her life together, to be a good wife, businesswoman and mother, but it's clearly taking its toll.

"Something is definitely off with her."

A less alarmed informant told OK! Magazine, however, that there was nothing wrong with Jessica that a little more weight and a little less whisky couldn't cure:

"Jess doesn't eat a lot, but she still drinks.

"It's a bad combination."

Looks like Jessica isn't acclimating to married life as well as she would hoped.
