Miss Daisy Duke, Jessica Simpson, is now Mrs. Eric Johnson following her July 4, wedding blowout to the retired NFL star, Eric Johnson. Jessica was seemingly off the Weight Watchers baby weight loss diet--treating family and friends to a BBQ dinner before the lavish Fourth of July ceremony. Not only was famous sister Ashlee and her fiancé Evan Ross in attendance, fellow celebs Jessica Alba and Cash Warren also showed up for Simpson's big day. Jessica's ex Nick Lachey is said to be happier than ever in his marriage to wife Vanessa Minnillo, despite news that they are reportedly in couples' therapy. According to friends, Nick and Vanessa are in counseling to ensure their relationship keeps getting better day after day. Not because they are ready to split.
Jessica Simpson's wedding to Eric Johnson went off without a hitch after having only three years to plan the event.
An her official statement to People Magazine Jess sounded absolutely ecstatic to be starting this new chapter in her life with someone that she knows so well (via USA Today):
"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment.
"To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."
Now all that's left to do is plan little sister Ashlee's wedding to Evan Ross--slated for later this year.
According to the July 14, edition of Life & Style Magazine, that Ashlee already has the wedding deets all worked out, thanks to soon-to-be mother-in-law Dianna Ross:
"Diana couldn't be more excited for her son to marry Ashlee.
"She offered them her L.A. home as the venue, and she's been renovating for the occasion.
"It's going to be over-the-top!"
And in related news, Jessica's first husband, Nick Lachey, is said to be happier than ever, since marrying Vanessa Minnillo.
A source close to the couple told OK! Magazine that Nick and Vanessa were doing whatever it takes to make sure they stay happy in the years to come:
"They're more in lone today than ever.
"They have a monthly meeting with a therapist to talk about the little things, so that they never escalate into something bigger.
"Nick and Jess never talked enough...He's not going to let that happen again."
Yeah...that's Eric Johnson's problem now.
