The Powerball lottery website is reporting on the third winner of recenthalf a billion massive jackpot:
“The Powerball jackpot-winning ticket sold in Texas for the historic Feb. 11 drawing has been claimed. TL Management Trust, Andrew Weber, Trustee of Austin claimed the $127,046,150.05 Cash Value Option prize from the $564.1 million jackpot at Texas Lottery headquarters in Austin today. The claimant requested minimal publicity.
“The ticket was purchased at the Appletree Food Mart, located at 893 E. Princeton Drive in Princeton. For selling the jackpot-winning ticket, the retailer is eligible for a $1 million bonus. Winning tickets were also sold in North Carolina and Puerto Rico. The winner's ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (11-13-25-39-54) and the red Powerball (19).”
The Powerball website is also reporting on the the first winner to come forward:
“A single mother from a small town in Coastal North Carolina has come forward to claim her $188 million Powerball prize, making her the largest jackpot winner in state history.
“Until recently, Marie Holmes of Shallotte supported her four children by working jobs at Wal-Mart, Food Lion, KFC, McDonald’s and Subway. The 26-year-old’s life changed forever when her Powerball ticket matched all six numbers in the Feb. 11 drawing, winning her a third of the $564 million jackpot.
“At a news conference Monday afternoon, N.C. Education Lottery executive director Alice Garland presented Holmes with a check celebrating her $188 million win.”
