Tonight, Fox’s hit comedy The Mindy Project is all new following last week’s appearance my Stephen Colbert. Recently Mindy Kaling opened up about her character’s pregnancy and her fake belly bump that she has to wear.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Mindy Project, titled
“Mindy consults a stylist when her pregnancy starts to show and she worries about her body image. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Jeremy decides to start dating again, and has a surprise encounter with Morgan's girlfriend, Jessica.”
This week’s episode is all about Mindy’s pregnancy. Recently during the Savannah College of Art and Design's TV fest event, Mindy Kaling opened up about her character’s pregnancy (via E! Online) :
"I think for an OB/GYN to get accidently pregnant seemed very funny and to get accidently pregnant by another OB/GYN seemed really funny.She's a good physician but she's incredibly irresponsible in her own life so this seemed to be keeping with her character."
Kaling is not really pregnant, and is having to wear a fake baby bump belly for the show:
"I was complaining about it and I'm not even really pregnant/ And that's how I think Mindy the character would be like. She's just not going to do pregnancy in a very graceful way."
