To say that the cast of Fast and Furious 7 have gone out of their way to talk about how important Paul Walker's presence is going to be to the new film would be a bit of an understatement, but the franchise's original bald headed action hero, Vin Diesel, is taking things to a whole other lever. According to the latest gossip news updates, Riddick has been explaining in recent interviews that in addition to having one of the most inventive trailer roll-outs ever, Furious 7 is, in fact, the best movie to have ever been made. Diesel insists that since everyone knew what it meant to Paul's legacy they all just made sure the new film would define the next 1000 years of cinema.
All one has to do if take a quick glance at Vin Diesel's Facebook page to realize that, for him, Fast and Furious 7 is all about honoring the memory of Paul Walker -- to say the very least.
With the release of the movie just a couple of weeks away, it might be nice to know that Vin assured Vibe, following the recent completion of the film, that it was far more than a star studded vanity piece, however -- Furious 7's going to set the tone of cinema for a thousand years to come:
"The person that used to challenge me the most was Paul Walker.
"And when the tragedy happened, I made a promise to him that I would do everything to make this the best movie in history.
"And here we are today with one of the most groundbreaking, important films of the millennium: Furious 7...Brace yourself."
Franchise eye-candy/femme fatale, Michelle Rodriguez, didn't go as far as calling the new movie the best ever made when speaking to Vibe, but she did assure the magazine that Fast 7 would definitely top its predecessors just as its fans have come to expect:
"These guys are always trying to top themselves. The producers and actors -- I remember so many moments trying to think up things to do.
"Is it going to be drifting? How high can we make a car fly? What haven't we done yet? And how can we do it?
"And that's kind of the legacy that's kept it alive for so long."
Following that logic, Furious 7 very well may be the best movie ever made...but only until the 2016 release of Fast and Furious 8.
