Even with an ever-growing ensemble cast, Vin Diesel has always had to deal with the added pressure of have all eyes on him every time he enters the frame of one of the Fast and Furious films, but the Riddick actor explained to Extra after he finished filming that this time around it was almost impossible to get though the job somedays with his co-star's death so fresh on his mind (via Forbes):
"It is a very tricky task for an actor to be in that stage of mourning and also have to pretend that person is still there.
"It made the experience that much more, arduous."

"If anything, we had a greater responsibility. Won had a gargantuan task ahead of him and he dealt with it with such grace.
"And Vin [Diesel], being one of the producers, also dealt with it with such grace.
"We were very lucky that we had [Paul's] brothers to step in."
As hard as it may be to imagine the franchise continuing on indefinitely with one of its reoccurring characters long since deceased, Universal Chairman Donna Langley told The Hollywood Reporter that there were no plans to remove Walker from the storyline for at least a few more films (via Forbes):
"We think there's at least three more.
"Paul is, and always will be, an integral part of the story. But there are many other great characters, and it's also an opportunity to introduce new characters. I think it's still a growing franchise.
"We'll see what happens with Furious 7, obviously, but our box office has grown over the past three or four films and internationally, in particular.
"We think that there's more to mine there. But we're of course very mindful about fatigue."
Let's hope Donna is more mindful of fatigue than she is taste.
