It seems that America's sweetheart, Julia Roberts, just can't catch a break in recent months. According to the latest gossip news updates, her mother's recent death was the final straw for her husband, Danny Moder, who reportedly can't take the drama of being with the Pretty Woman any longer. Word has It that the Hollywood cinematographer has been unhappy in their marriage for years, but the recent deaths of his wife's sister, Nancy, and mother, Betty Lou, have sent Roberts into an emotional funk that Moder just isn't willing to deal with any longer. Despite that fact the Award winning actress is dealing with one of the most personally traumatic times in her life, Danny is looking to split and openly taking about getting a divorce. Some friends suggest that things will get ugly, if her loving husband really thinks he's going to split with half her hard earned net worth, however.
It's never easy losing someone you love, but having your spouse use it for grounds of divorce is almost unconscionable.
A source close to Julia Roberts' family reveals in the March 23, issue of Star Magazine that that, sadly, is exactly what has happened following the death of her mother Betty Lou last February 19:
"[Danny] knows that it's not Julia fault that bad things keep happening, but he says that living with her is like living in a soap opera.
"She is a very emotional person -- screaming one minute and apologizing the next -- and he can't take it anymore...He wants out."
According to the spy, Danny's discontent has been growing over the past few years as he's reportedly begun to convince himself that marrying Julia Roberts somehow hurt his career as a Hollywood cameraman:
"He demanded that she stop hindering his dreams and let him be his own person.
"Then all of a sudden he blurted: 'Being with you is a living nightmare!'"
The informant says that right now -- while she's vulnerable -- Julia is trying to keep her marriage together, but if Danny really does try to go through with a divorce, things are going to get nasty:
"It's not going to be pretty that is for sure.
"Julia's won't go down without a battle...[and] she's not used to losing.
"Julia is playing nice right now, but she's got a sting in her tail, and she'll use it if he actually leaves."
Perhaps, it's that vindictive and spiteful nature that has Julia's family members accidentally misplacing their invitations to Thanksgiving dinner.
Shortly after her mother's passing, the National Enquirer reportedly uncovered a video diary wherein Julia's mother tells her sister, Nancy, that she always loved her more than Roberts, despite how things might sometimes look:
"Betty Lou: I love you more than I love anybody else in the world...but I'll never admit it!
"Nancy: It's not about who loves who more, it's about what's best for you, because obviously Julia and I don't even like each other...I mean, I love her, she' s my sister, but I don't like her.
"Betty Lou: I don't like her very much."
Worst of all for Julia Roberts...it's too late to make her mother and sister pay for their insolence.
