Seattle Seahawks Richard Sherman Uses Popularity, BLASTS Street Performer on Instagram

Richard Sherman has climbed the ranks to become one of the NFL's most notable players, and he hasn't been slowed down by the fact that he started out as somewhat of an unkown. In recent news, the Seahawks star hooked up a street violinist with some serious opportunities. Apparently, Sherman was so impressed, he put the performer on blast on social media, and the guy has been getting "huge business" as a result. It isn't a surprise that the two hit it off -- if anyone understands the importance of hard work and perfecting one's craft, it's Richard Sherman.

Before his time as a professional, Sherman played college ball for Stanford University. At the time of the draft, it was clear that recruiters didn't see the potential in the young athlete, and he was even pushed all the way to the fifth round.

Since then, Sherman's popularity has elevated to levels rarely reached by anyone in the public eye. He has even been awarded with the prestigious feature of the cover of Madden 2015.

In turn, it only makes sense that the public has craved any and everything to do with number 25.

According to TMZ Sports, Richard recently used his position to help out a fellow entertainer:

"Richard Sherman is great for business...'cause the Vegas street violinist who put on an impromptu show for the Seahawks cornerback tells us he's been getting huge business offers thanks to the NFL star...Sherman...posted a video on Instagram...where his 1.1 million followers could check it out. Tony B...the 23-year-old street musician [said] he didn't get rich from Sherman's tip (though R.S. and Pats CB Brandon Browner gave him $25-a-piece)..."

Truly, it is heart warming to see someone with great power use it in a responsible manner.

According to CBS Sports, the cornerback hasn't taken that ability for granted:

"Sherman's story...goes back to his youth in Compton, Calif., his days at Stanford, when he was a wide receiver before he was a cornerback. It goes back to him falling to the fifth round of the 2011 draft and how that motivated him to prove everyone wrong. And it continues to this day as Sherman has made himself into one of the league's best cornerbacks. Sherman's parents preached the importance of hard work and education at an early age. His father rose at 4 a.m. every morning to drive a garbage truck."
