Peyton Manning Retiring Rumors: Bronco Pursuing Team Ownership After Increased Weight and Age?

Peyton Manning has been throwing awesome touchdown passes in the NFL for nearly two decades, and during this time, Manning has easily proven himself to be one of the top quarterbacks in history. So, it only makes sense that Peyton would treat himself to a nice vacation. Manning was recently spotted having some family fun in Miami Beach. Apparently, the Broncos star has packed on a few extra pounds, because he was actually spotted wearing his shirt in the water. This could also be due to the fact that Peyton is getting up their in age, leading some to suggest that the star might be retiring before next season to pursue team ownership.

Before his time as a professional, Peyton played college ball for the University of Tennessee. While there, he even led his team to the 1997 SEC Championship.

His consistent performances earned him a first overall pick by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1998 NFL Draft. Since then, his stats have been record breaking.

Now, though, Peyton is getting up there in age, and according to TMZ Sports, it looks like he is getting up there in poundage as well:

"Peyton Manning has not officially decided if he's coming back to play in the NFL next season, but one thing is for sure...the Denver Broncos QB needs to retire that t-shirt! The future Hall of Famer and his family were spotted poolside in Miami Beach this week, where the QB committed the personal foul of wearing a shirt in the pool...a move usually reserved for offensive linemen...Too much Papa John's in the off-season, perhaps?"

All jokes aside, the reality of Peyton hanging up his cleats becomes more and more real each day.

According to a report by CBS Sports, Manning has dreams of being more than just an athlete:

"Peyton Manning has a looming decision to make about his playing career following the season, with team officials unsure what he will decide and no shortage of post-playing options available for the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Manning has expressed an interest in owning and operating an NFL team, something well known throughout the league, and is interested in pursuing a second career along the lines of Broncos' executive John Elway."
