Sporting Kansas City's Dom Dwyer and Wife Brag on $20K Wedding Ring after Successful Soccer Career

American soccer clubs have always existed in the shadow of the legendary leagues across seas. Yet, America does have some very respectable athletes to represent our nation. Dom Dwyer of Sporting Kansas City is one of those players. In recent news, his wife, who is also a notable American soccer player, Sydney Leroux, released information on the amazing wedding ring she designed for her athletic husband. Even though Dom denies his position as a celebrity athlete, his overall impact on U.S. soccer, coupled with his substantial estate, tends to make onlookers disagree.

Before his time as a professional, Dom played college ball for West Anglia. Even though he suffered several injuries during this time, he was still selected #16 overall in the 2012 MLS Super Draft by Kansas City.

Since then, he has stacked a respectable list of achievements.

However, one of his most prestigious accomplishments could be acquiring his beautiful wife. According to TMZ Sports, Sydney recently boasted on the wedding ring she designed for her favorite sports star:

"Soccer star Sydney Leroux made a case for wife of the year before she was even married ... designing a $20k wedding band for her hubby...Sydney tied the knot with men's footie stud Dom Dwyer earlier this year and started forever off right by spending $20k with L.A. jeweler to the stars Big O to create a platinum and diamond monster...The ring is14mm wide and features 97 baguillion and round brilliant diamonds..."

If wearing a ring like that isn't a milestone of success, then it's hard to tell say what is. According to Miss Soccer, Dwyer's opinions of himself are humble, to say the least:

"The hardest thing about getting Dom Dwyer to talk about becoming a celebrity is getting him to acknowledge being one...Sporting have won one MLS Cup and one US Open Cup since Dwyer arrived as a first-round MLS SuperDraft pick in 2012, and he also won a USL PRO title while on the second of two loan stints with Orlando City SC in 2013...could say that and mean it. [Dwyer] shredded Sporting's single-season scoring records in 2014 with 22 league goals and 24 across all competitions..."
