Nicole Scherzinger and boyfriend Lewis Hamilton may soon get married. There are rumors circulating that Hamilton plans to propose.
Nicole, 34, and Hamilton, 28, have been dating since 2008. While there have been on and off again moments in their relationship, the two have largely stood by each other’s side.
When Nicole was a judge on Britain’s X Factor, Mr. Hamilton would wait backstage for the singer. Nicole, on the other hand, would travel far and wide to watch Lewis’ Formula One races.
Rumors began to circulate when Nicole, a former Pussycat Doll, released this statement to The Sun, in regards to a possible engagement:
"We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really. But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.”
Nicole also hinted around the fact that she wants to have children...though maybe not right now. She tells Marie Claire:
"I think five years might be a good time to look at having children. But I think whenever it's meant to happen is when it will happen. Right now, I'm focusing on my career. I see lots of women having beautiful children later in life now. And, if not, just freeze your eggs."
Nicole, who is working on her second album, also stressed the value of spending time together...which is sometimes difficult for the pair to do:
“You kinda have to look at the schedules because people will put something in any time that you have off and we’re always working. We have to be like, ‘OK, this week I’m going to try to make it to this race, if I don’t, I’ve got this performance here; what can you do?’ Every minute counts, you know?”
