As the Season 4 finale of HBO's Girls draws near, some members of the media have gone as far as asking Lena Dunham's mom, Laurie Simmons, is she's privy to any finale spoilers. According to the latest gossip news updates, Simmons revealed that she would take the secrets with her to her grave, unless someone got her too drunk not to talk before then. Speaking of the parents of the Girl's cast -- Allison Williams is insisting that her dad, NBC News anchor man Brian Williams, is not a liar, even if he sometimes plays one on TV.
Not only did Lena Dunham's mom, Laurie Simmons, help to raise her daughter with an artist's view of the world, the famous photographer also knows how to keep a secret.
When Page Six did their best to try and trick Lena's first artistic influence into spilling the beans about what's going to happen in the final episodes of Girls, Laurie laughed them off by insisting that Moscow mules couldn't drag it out of her:
"I've got some spoiler alerts up my sleeve and unless I have lots of drinks, which is very atypical for me, I'm not sharing."
The proud mom did offer, however, to tell the website that she supports everything her daughter says and does, even when it seems to ruffle a few feathers:
"I would rather have raised a daughter that speaks up than one who doesn't.
"She takes care of that so well herself, she doesn't need her mom at this point.
"She just needs her mom to love her."
Fellow cast member, Allison Williams also wants people to know that she also has a pretty awesome parent, despite all the reports in the media that he has been less the truthful during his time at the NBC News desk (via In Touch):
"He is an honest, truthful man...He cares so much about journalism.
"[And] he's a really good dad."
Well...to be fair, no one is trying to having him permanently fired as Allison's dad.
