Tonight Fox’s New Girl is back with a brand new episode. Recently it was announced that Zooey Deschanel was pregnant and engaged to her boyfriend Jacob Pechenik.The series got a special shout out from Daily Show host Jon Stewart last night. Stewart defended the show from those who have never seen it.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of New Girl, titled “Spiderhunt,” reads:
“With the loft crawling with spiders and Schmidt's arachnophobia spinning out of control, the gang go on a hunt for the creepy critters. During all the mission, Winston's comments leave Jess with the mistaken impression that Cece has fallen for Nick.”
During last night’s episode of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart defended the show against people who have never seen it, making the comparison to Obama trying to argue with people who don’t listen to reason:
“It’s like people complaining about a TV show that have never actually seen the TV show. Like New Girl. It’s actually pretty good. I know the whole adorkable thing was off putting, but Schmidts hilarious, Winston and Cece. I mean come on funny and beautiful. Right now Zooey, she’s just the cog holding this crazy.”
Jon then composed himself before stating that he was, “catching up on Hulu.”
