In a surprising move, Harry Potter child star turned Perks of Being a Wallflower sex-symbol, Emma Watson, quickly shot down the rumors that she is dating fourth in line to the British crown, Prince Harry. According to the latest gossip news updates, the United Nation feminist took to Twitter to squash the talk that she had a new royal boyfriend in no time flat. Less surprising, however, was Emma's publicly thanking 2015 Foxcatcher star Steve Carell for supporting her HeForShe movement at the 2015 Academy Awards via Instagram. Watson lauded that Oscar Nominee's many cinematic masterpieces as well as his decision to wear a special set of cufflink to the event in support of her global initiative.
While Emma Watson might be considered as sort of de facto English royalty to many of her fans in the US, the iconic Harry Potter actress wants everyone to know that they ought not to believe that rumors that she is dating actual English royal, Prince Harry.
The 24-year-old activist reportedly took to her personal Twitter account to lay low the speculation started by Australia's Woman's Day magazine that she was romanitcally linked to the Baby Geroge's ginger uncle:
"WORLD...Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!"
Although Prince Harry may not be seeing Watson romantically, that hasn't stopped Diana's youngest from endorsing her HeForShe United Nation imitative:
"This is not just about women, we men need to recognize the part we play, too
"Real men treat women with dignity and give them the respect they deserve."
The prince isn't the only celebrity lending his name to the fight for the equal treatment of women the world over.
2015 Best Actor Oscar nominee, Steve Carell, is showing his solidarity with the cause by wearing special HeForShe cufflinks to the Academy Awards, and it certainly hasn't gone unnoticed.
Watson thanked Carell in advance on Instagram for filling everyone's life with joy through his amazing movies as well as wearing the meaningful jewelry:
"You were pure genius in Little Miss Sunshine (one of my all-time favourite films), my brother became obsessed with you in Anchorman, I wanted to marry you or have you adopt me after Crazy, Stupid, Love, I hated that guy you played in The Way Way Back, and then you were mind-blowing in Foxcatcher.
"I think you're so awesome and now you are wearing #HeForShe cufflinks at the Oscars to support Gender Equality.
"Couldn't be more proud! Thank you."
Now, won't Prince Harry be jealous?
