Paula Deen Secret Recipe Ingredient: Racism, Loves Saying N-Word

Paula Deen, revered host of Paula's Home Cooking, may have a secret recipe ingredient--racism! The obese chef loves to say the n-word.

These revelations stem from a May 17 deposition involving a $1.2 million lawsuit brought forth by Lisa Jackson. Jackson was the former manager of a Savannah, Georgia, restaurant owned by Deen.

The eatery is co-owned by Paula's brother, Bubba Hiers. He, too, is facing charges...including sexual harrassment.

Mrs. Jackson alleged that during one conversation, Deen's brother said "they should send President Obama to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico so he could n-gger rig it."

The most shocking claims of all center around Paula and a wedding she was planning. Jackson claimed that Paula told her:

"Well, what I would really like is a bunch of little n-ggers to wear long-sleeve white shirts, black shorts and black bow ties. You know, in the Shirley Temple days, they used to tap dance around. Now, that would be a true Southern wedding, wouldn't it? But we can't do that because the media would be on me about that."

The idea came to her when she was visiting another restaurant with her husband:

"The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie. I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America...after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War...It was not only black men, it was black women...I would say they were slaves."

In a video deposition, Mrs. Deen does admit to saying ni66er. When asked if she has ever said it, Paula responds "Yes, of course!" She goes on to discuss some jokes she may have told Mrs. Jackson and others:

"It's just what they are--they're jokes. Most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks...I can't determine what offends another person."

Paula Deen's attorneys, Bill Franklin and Oliver Maner, issued the following statement today:

"Contrary to media reports, Ms. Deen does not condone or find the use of racial epithets acceptable. She is looking forward to her day in court."
