The newest cast members for the Broadway production of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" have been announced.
A lineup of principal and ensemble actors will be taking the stage at the Lyric Theatre beginning November 12, 2024.
Theater Mania reported that Matthew James Thomas steps into the shoes of Harry Potter, Sarah Killough will play Ginny Potter, and Kristen Martin as Delphi Diggory.
In addition to the established lead actors like Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Aaron Bartz as Draco Malfoy, and Erik Christopher Peterson as Scorpius Malfoy, the cast has welcomed new ensemble members.
Also new to the cast include Megan Byrne, Maxim Chlumecky, James Cribbins, Janae Hammond, Sophie Hearn, Zachary Lindberg, Jay Mack, Bradley Patchett, Dan Plehal, Isaac Phaman Reynolds, Allie Re, Khadija Tariyan, Julius Williams, and Riley Thad Young.
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" follows the adventures of a new generation of wizards. Albus, the son of Harry, teams up with Scorpius, the son of Draco, as they go on a time-traveling journey that brings unexpected challenges.
The production originally premiered on April 22, 2018, and made an impressive impact, receiving 10 Tony Award nominations that year and winning six awards, including Best Musical.
A national tour started in Chicago in September following its success.
