Former Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia is coming to Fox’s Gotham. Ventimiglia will reportedly play a new villainous playboy codenamed Orge. However, with the Joker confirmed for the end of the season, many fans are critics are wondering if Milo’s character could really be the early identity of The Joker, known as the Red Hood. Could the Joker casting rumors really be true?
Milo Ventimiglia has been cast for multiple episode of Fox’s Batman prequel series Gotham. Milo will play Jason Lennon, also know as the Orge.
Entertainment Weekly is quoting a source who describes Jason as a series killer who is, “luring women into his web and confronting them with a series of ‘tests’ as he searches for his perfect mate. When the women fail to live up to his impossible standard, Lennon disposes of them quickly and viciously.”
The description of Jason Lennon doesn’t sound much like the Joker that we know and love, but the important thing to remember is that Joker wasn’t always a clown. While some origin stories have him being a struggling comic, Joker’s killer clown look is the result of an accident that hasn’t taken place in the Gothamverse yet. It is very likely that he will adopt the clown gimmick after his disfigurement.
Could Jason Lennon really be the Red Hood/Joker? Do you think that Milo Ventimiglia should play the Joker? Who else would you like to see play The Joker? Let us know your thoughts on the casting rumors in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
