Madeleine McCann Found Dead? Scotland Yard Has New Photos

Madeleine McCann, the missing 9-year-old girl, may soon get the justice she is owed. Scotland Yard is re-opening the case and the police have offered up new photos that may help.

McCann, who disappeared shortly before her fourth birthday, has still not been located. Law enforcement efforts to find McCann have failed.

For the past two years, the case has been under-review. But, thanks largely to British Prime Minister David Cameron, Scotland Yard announced that they would be fully funding a re-examination of the case.

A spokeswoman for Cameron informed the press:

"The Home Office remains committed to supporting the search for Madeleine McCann. We have agreed to provide the Metropolitan Police with the resources they need to investigate her disappearance."

This is good news for McCann's family, who has had little comfort since their child's abduction, from Portugal. Her parent's owned an apartment that they would use for vacationing. What was meant to be a relaxing getaway, turned into a huge tragedy.

Six years ago, when they were on holiday, their daughter went missing. Portuguese authorities are widely considered to have botched the investigation, which they called to a close in July of 2008.

Not only did the family have to lose their daughter, they also had to endure the scrutiny that the investigation posed. Early on, they were actually considered suspects. Those assertions were later dropped and the family was officially cleared.

Below is a picture of how the child may appear today. If you have any information, please contact law enforcement immediately.
