Pregnant Carrie Underwood and Husband Mike Fisher Get Baby Advice from Lady Antebellum Hillary Scott [UPDATE]

Pregnant 'Something in the Water' singer Carrie Underwood and her Nashville Predator hockey playing husband Mike Fisher may be having their first baby, but they have plenty of folks in the country music business-- like Hillary Scott -- to give them advice about what it's like raising a child on the road. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Lady Antebellum singer gave the American Idol alum tips on everything from how to arrange the tour boss to how to treat her dogs around their new boy.

Sure, Carrie Underwood has never had to contend with the difficulties of raising a baby while touring behind a new album, but with Lady Antebellum's frontwoman, Hillary Scott, in her corner, the Sound of Music star won't exactly be clueless going into things either.

In a recent discussion with People Magazine, Scott explained that it was nothing for her to talk a little bit of baby shop with her longtime gal pal:

"Carrie and I are really good friends and it was an honest, expectant [and] new mom conversation.

"It's a weird transition at first -- you feel like you have to split your brain because you're in such a mommy mode and then you've got to work at such an intense job too.

"A lot of it is finding a really great nanny - someone who can be on the road and understand that life and schedule."

In addition to however many nannies Carrie winds up hiring to help take care of her baby, she also has husband Mike Fisher to lean on when he's not playing away with the rest of the Nashville Predators.

Mike told The Tennessean that he is not one of those scared fathers-to-be that is planning to tuck his tail between his legs and run at the first sign of a poopie-diaper (via Christian Today):

"I think it's going to be awesome.

I've always tried to balance things out in life. I think that's important, and obviously kids are going to add a different dynamic that I can't wait for.

"We both love kids, so it's something we're really looking forward to."

Just as long as they're not counting on Mike to teach their son about not ending his sentences with prepositions, it sounds like the Fishers are going to be just fine.
