My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way said it best, when he said “teenagers scare the living sh*t out of me.” Reports are saying that anywhere from 200 to 900 teens stormed a movie theater at a mall in Ocoee, Florida on Valentine Night. Shots were reportedly fired during the riot.
If social media has taught us anything lately, it is to stay away from malls. New reports of strange and horrific acts in malls are continually popping up all across the nation.
Late Saturday night, hundreds of teens rushed a Ocoee, Florida movie theater.
Authorities are still investigating the strange instance that took place at the West Oaks Mall on Saturday.
WFTV News is quoting Orange County Sheriff’s Office official, Lt. Paul Hopkins as saying:
“At that point, since we’re dealing with 800 to 900 juveniles, they called for assistance from surrounding agencies. We all formed together and were successfully able to get all these kids out of the mall area.”
Two arrest were made, including one for drug charges and one for assault.
The riots also spilled over to a nearby convenience store. One witness told NBC Orlando affiliate WESH about the incident:
"A whole bunch of kids came in the store and just started stealing stuff. They (were) just taking everything out of the store, and then the kids (were) just trying to fight the owner, and everybody was just trying to fight."
