Sarah Silverman to Replace Jon Stewart at Daily Show after Michael Sheen Split? [GOSSIP NEWS]

Sarah Silverman has often gushed in public about just how lucky she is to be dating Underworld actor, Michael Sheen. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 44-year-old comedienne would have loved to marry Lizzy Caplan's Masters of Sex boyfriend but is now thinking she may have to split instead. Word has it that Silverman just can't handle Sheen's relationship with his action star ex, Kate Beckinsale. While Silverman may wind up remaining single for the rest of her life, she might also just land the best job in late night television. Rumors abound that Silverman's name has been bandied about as a possible replacement for Jon Stewart after he leaves the Daily Show later this year.

When you are as sexy, talented and funny as Sarah Silverman you might think that petty jealousy would be left in your less successful past, but it turns out things may not be as simple as all that.

A source close to Silverman claims in the February 23, issue of OK! Magazine that the stand-up just can't take how close her boyfriend, Michael Sheen, is with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Kate Beckinsale.

According to the spy, Sarah still love's Michael every bit as much as she did when the engagement rumors were running rampant a few months ago, but her insecurities just can't abide his closeness with the death dealer any longer:

"Sarah isn't the jealous type, but she does feel like she's in the middle.

"Michael speaks to Kate a few times a day.

"Sarah knows she can't compete with the mother of Michael's child...it's just too weird for Sarah."

If Sarah does decide to go through with the breakup, it might be all for the best considering she'll need every spare moment she can muster once Silverman takes over for Jon Stewart at The Daily Show.

After Stewart announced his plans to retire later in 2015 last MOnday night, everyone from the Huffington Post to USA Today noted that if Sarah Silverman wasn't on the everyone's short list of possible replacements, then she sure as hell needs to be added without delay.

Sounds like Michael might want to fully get on board the Sarah Silverman Express before her fame train finally leaves the station.
