NFL Star Terrell Owens' Ex Attempts Suicide After Messy Divorce, $100K IRS Tax Scandal

Throughout his career, Terrell Owens has been at the center of multiple controversies and scandals. Now, he is at it again. Reports have claimed that he was hit by another big fine from the IRS. This is taking place shortly after 2013's $100,000 bill. Also, in recent news, it was revealed that Owen's now estranged wife, Rachel Snider, tried to commit suicide after their marriage ended in a messy divorce.

Before his time as a professional, Terrell played college ball for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His consistent performances earned him a 3rd round pick with the San Francisco 49ers in the 1996 NFL Draft.

He is a six-time pro-bowler, and he holds several league records. All in all, Owens is best known for his stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Yet, his nefarious actions off the field seem to draw just as much, if not more, attention than his athletic achievements. According to TMZ Sports, he is currently rapped up in an extravagant IRS scandal:

"Terrell Owens has been hit with ANOTHER big tax bill from the IRS -- but the ex-NFL [said] he's already in the process of cleaning up the mess. According to official documents filed in the L.A. County Recorder's Office, 41-year-old Owens is still on the hook for $107,297.60 in federal income taxes from 2013. Owens is no stranger to tax issues -- he's been hit with at least 4 tax liens in the past..."

Unfortunately for T.O. fans, this isn't the only negative piece of information to hit the stands regarding the former star. According to NY Daily News, his ex-wife tried to kill herself after Owens divorced her:

"The estranged wife of former All-Pro NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens reportedly tried to kill herself as the couple's two-week marriage hit the skids. Postal worker Rachel Snider tweeted Tuesday she was 'just a little broken down right now,'...that followed a tweet seven minutes earlier in which she said she was 'suffering from a broken heart.' Snider was in serious condition at a Texas hospital after the suicide attempt..."
