Giants Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. Calls Out LeBron on Instagram After Greatest Catch In NFL History?

Whenever discussing great players in the NFL, names like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rogers are almost often default answers. However, this year provided fans with another topic for discussion. New York's Odell Beckham Jr. gained instant notoriety when he caught what many consider to be, the greatest reception in NFL history. Now, he is using his time in the spotlight well. In a recent video he called out LeBron James before showing is impressive basketball skills.

Before his time as a professional, Beckham Jr. played college ball for the Louisiana State University Tigers. During his time there, he stacked a long list of achievements.

For instance, he was All-SEC in his freshman year, he was named to the All-Southeastern Conference team multiple times, and he was awarded with the Paul Hornung Award.

His outstanding performances and impressive statistics earned him the 12th overall pick by the New York Giants during the 2014 NFL Draft. In that same year, he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. According to Yahoo Sports, the selection was well deserved:

"People get a lot of grief about declaring something 'GREATEST' or 'BEST EVER' or 'LEGENDARY' or whatever. But we're going to roll with this anyway, and we dare you to defy us: Odell Beckham Jr. just made the greatest catch in NFL history. Beckham leaps, catches the ball with one hand, twists himself sideways, stays in bounds, and lands in the end zone. Simply flawless."

Now, he has secured himself a spot on everyone's fantasy football wish list. In turn, his popularity has given him a means to show off a little bit. According to NESN, he recently showed off his basketball skills on Instagram:

"Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. already has made a name for himself in the NFL, so why not take a shot at another sport? The New York Giants receiver posted an Instagram video of his basketball skills, and it's pretty spectacular. Beckham gives Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James a shout-out before flying through the air and laying down a ttunderous dunk. Beckham also happens to be listed at 5-foot-11. And in case you thought that wasn't a regulation, he posted another video to assure that it was..."
