Jerry Seinfeld may not be going out on tour, but his online series is returning. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee debuts Thursday.
Mr. Seinfeld hasn't done too much after his mega-hit show Seinfeld. Considering he stands to make about a billion dollars from a series he made over then years ago.
There was, of course, Bee Movie, a few cameos and a pretty disastrous game show.
So, it appears that Jerry has found a new home--on the Internet.
This is actually the second season of his under-the-radar comedy, and if you haven't heard about it yet, you're not alone.
The title is fairly literal. The 15 to 20 minute long episodes focus around Seinfeld and other comedians. They literally drive around in cool cars and get coffee, then discuss their career.
The first season premiered in the summer of 2012 and featured some of the biggest names in comedy. The high profile guest list included Ricky Gervais, Larry David, Colin Quinn and the legendary Mel Brooks.
This season will be no different. Sarah Silverman will be participating in the first episode. From there, comedic greats like Seth Meyers, Chris Rock and the ever-elusive David Letterman, will take center stage in the caffienated saga. Whether the two will discuss Dave's affinity for interns remains to be seen.
Seinfeld recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where he revealed the following:
"Comedians never fail to get to this subject of, 'How do you do this?' or 'What's it like for you?' or 'What are you dealing with?'. So in almost every one of these shows, in fact I have to eventually say every single one at some point, these two people get to that."
