Ever since Fergie had her baby with husband Josh Duhamel, the Black Eyed Peas singer has reportedly been relying on nannies to help her take care of her son, Axl Jack, when things were a bit hectic, but word has it that is all about to change. According to the latest news updates, the 39-year-old performer recently realized that they didn't need permanent outside help just to raise their own child, and has decided that they will do all the parenting themselves from henceforth.
When you are as rich and famous as Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas it often just makes sense to hire a full-time nanny to help take care of your kids like the rest of your peers, but that doesn't mean you can't change your mind.
A source close to the Duhamel family insists in the latest February 16, issue of OK! Magazine that after giving their staff time off during the holidays, Josh and Fergie realized they could handle raising their kid without having putting someone on salary:
"Full-time parenting just works for them,
"They're great when it comes to sharing responsibility and going with the flow.
"It puts both their minds at ease knowing that one of them will always be watching Axl."
The insider swears that Josh and Fergie aren't letting anyone go because they are dissatisfied, they just think it's time for them to step up to the plate by themselves:
"They love the people that have helped raise him so far, but Fergie and Josh and definitely ready to tackle things on their own.
"They both want to be really hands-on."
According to the Daily Mail, Fergie is already making good on her promise -- popping in to play with Axl in the park in between jaunts to the recording studio:
"Fergie may be busy promoting her return to music, with her single LA Love hitting No. 3 on the charts this week.
"However, she still has plenty of time for her favorite little guy - 17-month-old son Axl - as she was spotted taking him to the park on Friday."
It looks like Josh and Fergie may actually be able to just rely on the occasional babysitter like the rest of us.
