One time pee-pants, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, has less to worry about after having her first baby with husband Josh Duhamel. The couple, who have been plagued with rumors of a Duhamel affair, are closer than ever following the birth of the son Axel.
Immediately following the marriage five years ago, there were rumors of infidelity on Duhamel's end. The star of Life As We Know It was accused of sleeping with Atlanta stripper Nicole Forrester back in 2009.
Duhamel has always vehemently denied having the affair, but Fergie was surprisingly mum about the whole ordeal until appearing on an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter last fall (via Us Weekly):
"When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership. It does for us, anyways. Our love today is a deeper love, definitely. We're stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that's happened with us. We deal with it, we communicate; communicating’s the most important thing.”
What open communication hasn’t mended, a new baby has. Duhamel admitted to Life & Style that Axel has helped bridge any emotional gaps between the couple. He said of the newborn,”He’s brought us closer.”
The couple has been focusing on the home life with their new child. An insider commented on the baby bliss to Life & Style:
“Fergie just want to stay in and spend time with her two men.”
Who could blame her? The one time meth addict has earned it after all.
