Avengers 2: Age of Ultron is just a few months away and Chris Hemsworth (Blackhat) has just confirmed that the movie will tie into Thor 3: Ragnarok. This shouldn’t come as any surprise considering last year Idris Elba (The Wire) let it leak that Heimdal and Tom Hiddleston's Loki would be in the new Avengers.
When speaking with Digital Spy, Chris Hemsworth confirmed that Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will help set up Thor 3: Ragnarok, stating, "Yeah, definitely. It has to, doesn't it?”
Hemsworth went on state that the script for has not been finished, adding:
“There is no script for Thor, the next Thor, so I have no idea where we'll end up. But, it's pretty big, this one."
Late last year, Idris Elba leaked that his charachter Heimdall and Tom Hiddleson’s Loki would be in Avengers 2: Age of Ultronm telling The Telegraph:
“I’m in Avengers and I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers]--‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?'”
Needless to say, Avengers 2 writer and director, Joss Whedon was not very happy with this, telling Vulture about how he would reprimand Elba if it were up to him:
“Um, should he receive an email from me, there might be an attitude of scold...When you have a cast of 19,000 people, inevitably, once every month, you pick up [a story] and you're like, ‘Awww.’"
