‘Fast and Furious 7’ Cast Update: Ludacris Wins Custody Battle after New Paul Walker Car Trailer Released [VIDEO NEWS]

Now, when Universal releases Fast and Furious 7 April 3, cast member Ludacris can take his baby daughter to see the movie without having to worry about getting any kind of special permission from the court. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Atlanta based hip-hop star won the custody battle for his 1-year-old daughter after the judge found the rapper to be the most fit of the two parents. The last movie in the Fast franchise to feature Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car crash November 2013, just released a new teaser wherein various exotic cars from the film are launched in all sorts of manners through the air. Director James Wan recently explained that he held nothing back during the making of his first Fast film -- including actually dropping cars out of a moving airplane just like you see in the original trailer.

Hard as it may be to believe that super-rich recording artist and world famous actor, Ludacris, won his recent custody battle against his relatively unknown baby mama.

According to the sleuths at TMZ, Luda was awarded full custody of his daughter in a sort of kind of fashion:

"The decision comes after baby mama Tamika Fuller bitterly testified Luda didn't want the baby when he found out she was pregnant, and even tried to negotiate an abortion by throwing 10K her way.

"The judge awarded both Luda and Tamika joint legal and physical custody but said Luda will be 'the primary physical custodian.'"

Given the fact that Ludacris is a part of what will clearly be one of the biggest and most lucrative movies of the year, it makes perfect sense that he would wind up with custody of the baby.

What makes a little less sense, however, was James Wan's decision to throw one-of-a-kind exotic cars out of perfectly good airplane, when the film already employs a CGI team apparently capable of bringing Paul Walker back to life.

During a recent interview with the LA Times, Wan explained that if you want certain scenes to look their best inevitably you are going to have to throw a few cars out the back of an airplane:

"We were trying to get as much texture and tonality of practical photography into the film as we could."

"When you're dealing with action scenes that are pretty out there, the more you can ground the actual filmmaking of it, the more the over-the-top stuff will play on a more realistic level."

And what exactly is realistic about throwing a $100,000 car out of a moving airplane?
