Want to get that “fresh, out of sold-out concert” smell? Internationally renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang announces that his new, trademark fragrance Amazing will be released in Europe in November 2015 and China sometime next year.
“Very excited to announce the launch of my first fragrance!!” the critically acclaimed musician tweeted this week.
The main ingredients for his signature scent include jasmine, kyara wood, pink and black pepper, kumquat, bergamotte, gardenia, lavender, cedar wood, vetiver, patchouli and musk.
Lang Lang spoke to the Wall Street Journal last year about the release. He said that a French perfume distribution company called Firmenich, which also manages Armani and Dior, had been looking for an Asian market for a line of perfumes.
“I love perfumes,” he continued. “I never have time to wash my suit. When I’m traveling, sometimes the smell isn’t very pleasant. And when I’m on stage, I don’t only want to smell the piano. Sometimes, when they tune a piano, you smell this oil, or a glue kind of smell. It’s weird.”
Lang Lang has performed with the leading orchestras in Europe and was named one of the 100 most influential people by Time magazine in 2009. This is just another additive in the slew of endorsements for the 33-year-old pianist. Lang Lang, who owns a private club in Guangzhou, also has deals with Allianz, Bombardier, Giorgio Armani, Montblanc, Telefonica and Volkswagen. He has also previously had his own line of Adias shoes.
So far, there has been no talk of when the fragrance will be released in the U.S.
