T.I. is one of the most popular recording artists in America and is widely known for representing Atlanta. In turn, one would think he would relish being the owner of Atlanta's official basketball team. Instead, the rapper recently made it perfectly clear that he is not interested in owning the Hawks. This is the first time fans have heard from T.I. in quite a while. The last time was when he got into an all out fistfight with boxing champ Floyd Mayweather.
T.I. signed his first major label record deal in 1999 with LaFace Records. In 2003, he launched his own label imprint, Grand Hustle Records.
Since then, the tyrant has unleashed nine studio albums and countless hit singles. Throughout his career, he has paired up with legends like Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Iggy Azalea and Justin Timberlake.
All in all, T.I. is a contender for the biggest artist to come out of and represent the ATL. However, according to TMZ Sports, the performer wants nothing to do with the Atlanta Hawks:
"Seems T.I. has taken himself out of the running to buy the Atlanta Hawks -- telling us NBA owners have no real power and the whole thing seems like a waste of money. T.I. [said] he's 'excited' about how well the Hawks are doing this season...but says he's flat out 'not interested' in ownership. The Hawks are worth roughly $825 million...and the price is probably going up -- considering the Hawks are ON FIRE..."
This was the fist time fans had heard from him in a while. In fact, based on a report by Hollywood Life, the last time was when he fought with Floyd Mayweather:
"If you thought things were simmering down in the Floyd Mayweather and T.I. feud, think again. Floyd made a jaw-dropping confession at a press conference...When asked about T.I., Floyd replied, "I f***ed the bitch." that's something we didn't expect to hear at his press conference. This stunning confession comes nearly two months after Floyd and T.I. got into an intense brawl in Las Vegas. T.I. swung at Floyd first and the two erupted into a full-on fight."
