LeBron James is one of the most accomplished and well-respected players in the NBA. Also, the star has turned out to be quite the philanthropist. According to recent reports, James is set to star in an upcoming game show that will give the "everyday people" of Ohio a shot at big bucks. This is not James' first act of chivalry toward the people of Ohio. He also paired with Rehab Addict star Nicole Curtis and, together, they helped out several deserving families.
LeBron's skill on a basketball court is so well developed that it earned him a first round draft pick right out of high school. The Cleveland Cavaliers brought him onto their squad in 2003, and four short years later, James led his Ohio team to their first NBA playoff appearance.
As most of your know, James was traded to the Miami Heat in 2010. After that, James was known as a key piece of the "Big Three," and his infamy grew even more. While in Miami, he led the Heat to multiple NBA championships.
James' success has given him a rare opportunity to give back to his community. According to Bleacher Report, LeBron's new game show aims to turn people's lives around:
"LeBron James is preparing to hand out cash to the people of Ohio, but first, you'll have to tell him the capital of Papua New Guinea. Clevland.com reported that Spring Hill Productions, the Cleveland Cavaliers star's production company, is working to put together a prime-time game show offering "everyday people" a chance to win enough money to change their lives forever. The game show will air on a major network in a prime slot of evening airtime."
As interesting as this seems, fans will have to wait a while until more news has dropped. However, according to HGTV, fans can get their LeBron fix on their popular show Rehab Addict:
"When NBA superstar LeBron James calls, you answer! In six special episodes of Rehab Addict, Nicole Curtis takes her renovation skills to Akron, Ohio to help the NBA star James and the LeBron James Family Foundation Promise Project do a top-to-bottom renovation for a deserving family. The lucky winner? Sixth-grader Mariah Riley and her family earned a total home makeover for meeting all her goals and working hard in school."
