IBF Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor Turns Himself In to Police After Multiple Gun Related Charges

Jermain Taylor is known for having a fairly successful boxing career. However, he is best known for his crimes and street activity. Jermain Taylor always seems to be in hot water and is currently under investigation for shooting his cousin. Also, in recent news, he turned himself in for more gun-related activity. It turns out that this wasn't his first run in with the cops this past week.

Taylor is the former undisputed Middleweight champ and is currently the IBF Middleweight champion. His notoriety increased after he became friends with the infamous Floyd Mayweather.

His career achievements don't end there, either.

He won a pair of titles in the Police Athletic League earned himself multiple National Golden Gloves. In 2000, he was even accepted onto the men's Olympic Boxing team.

However, these accomplishments are covered up by Taylor's more nefarious activities. According to TMZ Sports, Taylor just turned himself in after another gun charge:

"Middleweight boxing champ Jermain Taylor saved Arkansas cops the trip -- turning himself in today for his SECOND gun-related arrest in just 3 days. The 36-year-old Taylor was arrested Monday for felony assault after allegedly firing 2 shots during an altercation at an MLK Day parade. That bust violated the terms of his jail release for ANOTHER case ... where he is accused of shooting his cousin."

Interestingly, the list of crimes seems to keep pilling up. Reported on by ESPN, the champ had his bond revoked after the issuance of a warrant:

"Taylor was released on $50,000 bond, a judge later revoked his bond in a separate firearms case from August and issued a warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his previous release. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Capt. told The Associated Press on Wednesday that Taylor needs to surrender and, if he doesn't, deputies will 'go get him.' Taylor, who won the International Boxing Federation middleweight title in October, was arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a minor and marijuana possession..."
