WWE and Vince McMahon Facing New Lawsuits after Edge, Christian and Billy Jack Hayes Cases in 2014

The WWE is one of the most successful and popular wrestling promotions in the world. Also, the company, as a business,is extremely wealthy. In turn, as is the case with any large company, they have become a target for lawsuits. Late in 2014, former Tag Team champs, Edge and Christian threatened the company. Now, the New Year is here and so are a string of new court cases. According to sources, Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton have filed similar lawsuits to those of Billy Jack Hayes.

The publicly traded WWE holds approximately 320 televised and non-televised events a year, and as of 2014, they were named the largest wrestling promotion in America.

The broadcasts reach about 36 million viewers and stretch to more 150 countries. To some, the shows are nothing more than a soap opera for men, but true wrestling fans know it is nothing more than quality television.

Regardless of the public opinion of the company, they are bound to succeed. So, when a company reaches this level of notoriety, others tend to want to get their own slice of the pie. According to Cage Side Seats, Edge and Christian tried doing so by threating legal action:

"Last year, Edge made mention of the fact that he couldn't sleep after what happened on Monday Night Raw with Seth Rollins and Big show. The Authority resumes power this Monday on Raw, E&C will be in charge of SmackDown this Friday. According to Michael Cole, the duo filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against WWE for the actions of Seth Rollins and Big Show last night on Raw."

Now, they have reportedly dropped the case, but that still hasn't stopped others from following their lead. A further report by Cage Side Seats claim that two more people are filling suit:

"Three months ago, [it was] reported that former WWE wrestler Billy Jack Haynes had filed a class action concussion lawsuit against the company, in which he alleged that the head trauma that he sustained whilst wrestling for WWE led him to suffering from depression and exhibiting symptoms of dementia in later life...[Now] two former WWE wrestlers, Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton, have now filed similar class action concussion lawsuits against WWE in Pennsylvania and are being represented by the same lawyer as Haynes too."
