Today...Debussy, "La Fille Aux Cheveux de Lin" from Préludes, Book I.
Contrary to Debussy's flaxen title here, neither Anastasia Steele nor pianist Dame Moura Lympany were real blondes. (Lympany was born Mary Gertrude Johnstone, for Chrissakes.) And just as Steele's not known for dominance, the late Lympany wasn't lauded for her Debussy. Once more, it's an odd choice of performer by James. But at a mere 39 bars, who's really counting?
