With Amazon making history at this year's Golden Globes, the online streaming company has announced another addition to its budding canon: an original Woody Allen program that is, currently, without title.
The Amazon original program Transparent made history when it took home the award for best series. Jeffrey Tambor, the show's lead, also took home a Globe.
But it's recently been announced that the prolific glasses-wearing geek, Mr. Allen, has signed on to write a direct a new series. Currently no details have surfaced about the show but it's been reported, according to The Washington Post, that the show will be available next year for Amazon Prime subscribers.
Roy Price, Vice President of Amazon Studios, said in a press release about the upcoming project: "Woody Allen is a visionary creator who has made some of the greatest films of all time, and it's an honor to be working with him on his first television series."
He continued: "From Annie Hall to Blue Jasmine, Woody has been at the creative forefront of American cinema and we couldn't be more excited to premiere his first TV series exclusively on Prime Instant Video next year."
Amazon's first run of on-demand television debuted last year with the Globe-winning series Transparent and has fallen into step with other streaming services like Netflix, HBO Go and so on.
