Cleveland Browns Rookie Quarterback Johnny Manziel Hasn't Lost the Support of Teammates

Johnny Manziel seems to lose more and more fans each day. His superior college performance hasn't carried over into the NFL, and according to new reports, the Browns are loosing faith in him. On the other hand, a recent report interviewed one of Manziel's teammates, and he stated that he still believes in Johnny Football.

Manziel was drafted by the Browns with the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. However, he is best known for his stellar performance with the Texas A&M Aggies.

During his freshman season at Texas, he broke numerous NCAA and SEC records. Also, he threw for 3,000 yards and rushed for 1,000. In turn, he became the first freshman to win the prestigious Heisman Trophy award.

Logically, his above average performance earned him a spot in the NFL. However, since he hit the big leagues, Manziel has been a huge disappointment.

According to Bro Bible, his actions off the field have also contributed to the Browns losing faith in him:

"Here we go again, Johnny is still the same old Johnny... He threw a huge party on Friday night that resulted in a fine for being late to treatment for his injury...the team had to send security officials to Johnny's home after he didn't pick up his phone in the morning...Between Manziel's shaky play and his off-the-field issues, it seems that the Cleveland Browns are losing faith in Manziel."

Even if that is true, he teammates are not ready to give up on him. According to TMZ Sports, an anonymous player spoke in favor of Johnny:

"Johnny Manziel hasn't lost the support of his teammates ... so says a Cleveland Browns player who [says], 'most guys on this team want him to be the one leading us next year.' The guy spoke to us on the condition of anonymity -- says everyone knows Johnny made mistakes ... but most teammates are chalking it up to immaturity...'He's still learning, He's still a rookie. He needs more time to figure out life at the next level...Johnny hasn't been a bad teammate.'"
