Avengers 2 and Captain America 3: Civil War star Chris Evans is proven to be a real life hero. Evans recently donated his time to helping Christopher’s Haven, a charity that houses kids with cancer while they getting treatment in nearby hospitals.
On Monday Chris Evans visited Kenny Botting, a young man with a brain tumor in a Christopher’s Haven, a home for kids with cancer. Evan’s is donating his time and celebrity to help raise awareness and money for the organization, as well to bringing joy to patients like Kenny, as he tells reporters (via Just Jared):
“It’s their strength that gives me strength. No matter what hurdles are in my life it’s nothing compared to what these families go through, so any way I can bring a smile it’s worth it.”
Christopher’s Haven Facebooked a message about Evans’ visit, writing:
“Our friend Chris Evans, also known as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, stopped by Christopher's Haven today to surprise our families. Paul Burton and Channel 4 were there to capture his visit (...and then Kenny captured Chris!).”
Evans was one of many Marvel actors who took part in the #CapForStrat hashtag earlier in the year, to help bring joy (and a Captain America 2 DVD) to a man dying of prostate cancer.
