Robert Downey Jr is Iron Man. The former struggling actor, brought the role to life, and with it the Marvel Cinematic Universe it. It was recently announced that Robert Downey Jr would reprise his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming 2016 film Captain America 3: Civil War. However, the Avengers star has not confirmed whether he will return for Iron Man 4 or not. Now the 49-year-old actor has posted a picture on Facebook teasing a fourth Iron Man film.
Downey Jr teased Iron man 4 by posting pictures of the last three arch reactors and making reference to the fact that he had his heart fixed in the third film:
“So...would the next one just be a shot of my chest hair?”
Earlier in 2014, Downey spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the possibility of making a fourth film:
“It’s down to Kevin [Feige, Marvel Studios president] and Ike [Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment] and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that’s on us to agree or disagree,” Downey said. “When things are going great, there’s a lot of agreement. Right now, this has just been swell, hasn’t it?”
