Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, who recently released his hit movie PK, recently spoke about his interest to The Times of India in making a sequel to the film.
PK is a film about a stranger's childlike curiosity and worldview, which challenges people's long-held notions, thereby making friends and foes alike. The film features Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sanjay Dutt and has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
But the climax of the movie, released Dec. 19, hints that another film may be in the works.
When asked about the possibility of a sequel, Khan said, "Let's see. You all have to ask Raju Hirani [director Rajkumar Hirani] if he is interested in making a sequel. If they make it, it's good. I would like to do it."
He also added, “Maybe Rajkumar Hirani is thinking of getting both Ranbir [Kapoor, his costar] and me in the sequel.”
Whether a sequel is to come or not, Khan says he is happy with the response and says the movie leaves the audience with a message that humanity is the biggest thing.
"The message of this film is that the biggest thing is humanity. That's the biggest message of this film ... that we all are equal. There is no difference between Hindus and Muslims ... that trust and faith is the important aspect of our life. This is the main message," he said.
I guess fans of the hit movie are going to have to wait it out. If you have never seen PK, check out the trailer for the film below:
