Kirsten Dunst is reportedly having an issue trying to get her boyfriend, Garret Hedlund, to commit to marriage, but at least the Spider-Man star got the producers of FX hit Fargo to commit to casting her in Season 2 of the TV show based on the Coen Brother hit cult classic of the same name. Accoridng to the latest gossip news updates, Kirsten has been breaking her back trying to prove to Garrett that she's marriage material, but has had to settle for network cable murder material, instead.
There have been reports circulating since June that Kirsten Dunst was more than ready to have her boyfriend, Garrett Hedlund, ask her to marry him, but all these months later things still haven't quite turned out that way.
According to a source that speaking in OK! Magazine's December 29, issue insisted that Kirsten's less than married status wasn't do to her lack of trying:
"Kirsten's dying to be a mom but doesn't want to have kids out of wedlock.
"When she brings it up, he changes the subject...Garrett is just dragging his feet."
Luckily the producers of FX' hit new dark comedy, Fargo, didn't make Kirsten jump through too many hoops when looking for a new lead going into Season 2.
So far, Dunst in the only cast member that has been named, but considering last year featured both Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton in the lead roles, there will, no doubt, be more A-list star joining the project.
Showrunner and co-creator, Noah Hawley told Entertainment Weekly, that Season 2 will be a prequel centering on Keith Carradine's character back in the days before he traded in his tin star for a spatula (via Guardian):
"He thought he left the war behind, but he came back and here it is, it's domestic.
"We will meet Molly's mother, who was not a character in season one... and we'll learn what happened to her.
"There were a lot of clues left in the first season and we'll do our best to hit those."
Maybe one more high-profile acting credit is all Kirsten will need to finally convince Hedlund that she is a catch worth keeping...and impregnating.
