On Friday, Justin Bieber left the following guestbook note at the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam:
"Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."
That is, of course, if Anne Frank had not died in a Nazi concentration camp back in 1945!
"Yesterday night Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House, together with his friends and guards. Fans were waiting outside to see a glimpse of him. He stayed more than an hour in the museum," the Anne Frank House posted on its Facebook page,
Anna Holligan, correspondent for the BBC Hague, confirmed on Twitter that, in fact, Bieber did pen the words himself:
Just confirmed with @annefrankhouse press office - Justin #Bieber did write those comments in 'special guestbook'

As for those Justin Bieber fans who had never even heard of Anne Frank, Holligan had but just one tweet:

The Canadian pop sensation, who's in the middle of a massive European tour, stopped by Frank's house between his concert in Antwerp, Belgium and a Saturday performance in Arnhem, Netherlands.
On Twitter, Bieber told his 37,546,763 beliebers--many of whom might be fake--that it was a "chill day."
