Time for another 50 Shades of Grey movie news update. According to a new report, the real life Anastasia Steele's romance with a Christian Grey type led to her flee in horror. In other news, a new article suggests that Nicki Minaj may be attempting to join the cast.
The film that centers around the widely-popular E.L. James novel would be lucky to have Minaj join the sex-themed romp. She would, unquestionably, be the largest name to join the feature.
Unfortunately, rumors that Minaj is joining the cast are totally false. The latest claims got started when Cosmopolitan insinuated that Minaj's latest video was some sort of audition for the BDSM flick:
"Nicki Minaj just released the music video for 'Only,' a song from her new album The Pinkprint, and it's basically an audition for her to have the role of Mrs. Robinson in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, right? (And, though perhaps not the most true-to-book casting, she'd be perfect.)"
Of course, that's not the only reason that 50 happens to be in the news.
The Daily Mail recently ran a profile of a woman who, for a short time, was living the dream of Anastasia Steele. Unfortunately, that dream soon became a nightmare.
The woman, who goes by Lily Temperley in the interview, revealed that dating an older, richer man sometimes isn't what it's cracked up to be:
"Lily is a beautiful young city worker who was sucked into a controlling affair with a high-flying, highly-sexed banking executive who dictated how she looked and behaved...The only big difference between this story and E.L James's fictional account is that Lily's Mr Grey was married...Lily gave up her well-paid job and left the profession after her partner's controlling behavior proved too much."
What do you think about the latest reports? Should Nicki Minaj join the cast of 50 Shades of Grey? Will a sequel even be made if the first movie proves unsuccessful? Do you plan on seeing the film?
